Yep, same here on my relatively new iMac running OS X 10.11.6 and GIMP
2.8.18. My issue is mostly with redraw speed of the preview following any
editing change. I tried all sorts of techniques to try and speed things
up--like changing file cache size, etc--all to no avail. My understanding
is that
We need to know more detail about your Mac and OS. What processor, how much
RAM, size of hard drive or SSD, etc. Also what version of GIMP are you running,
with what add ons?
