I hadn't realised it was out. It was only a week or so ago I checked for the
latest version and upgraded to 2.8.22. Yes I'll do that. Thanks for the
suggestion.

Hi
I like 2.10 - thanks - and have had no problems installing and running -
but how do I scan to Gimp now? This is one of my main uses - scanning my
box-loads of old photos and slides, then cleaning up, repairing
fading/yellowinge etc using Gimp. I can't see a Create from Scanner option
any longer
I second what Steve said. GIIMP is not PS. In fact, previous experience with PS
is detrimental to learning GIMP, as I know from experience.
Something that might help is The Book of GIMP, Lecarme and Delvare. Somewhat
dated, but worth every penny for the newcomer.

English (US) page now updated. No idea when the GB version will get it.
Honestly, you could figure that out just by looking at the Scale
tool's options :)

Is there a help file for Gimp 2.10? I notice that on the download page for 2.10
at gimp.org (https://www.gimp.org/downloads/), the help files available there
are still those for Gimp 2.8.

Hi,
with current Gimp (GIT from today) I see only a single raw importer :
Preferences -> Image Import & Export
Under Raw Image Importer I only see
${gimp_plug_in_dir}/plug-ins/file-raw-placeholder
On the other hand, there are
nufraw-gimp
file-raw-data
file-raw-placeholder
file-rawtherapee
