Re: [Gimp-user] Suggestions for the GIMP

You are building offense on top of another offense and claim to have started a constructive discussion. That's some logic I cannot understand. It doesn't matter how the argument is worded .. what matters is Does it have merit?. We've discussed the merit a lot of times. There team already provided the final answer to the question. Is there a merit to discussing it again? Not that I know of. Personally, I think that some of your points were spot on, other -- completely bogus. Is this something you could live with? :) I can live with my reactions, no problem. There's no blame here. Just a piece of software which really needs something more than a bunch of programmers arguing on a vacant discussion thread about common sense software design. Don't want to change the GIMP to make sense? Not my problem. But given the reaction and discussion herein, I'll not be attempting to make it my problem in the future. Good luck to you Alexandre. Actually, after another reading of the original mail I think I made a rush judgement. It's quite possible that GIMP is sending incorrect data to the printing plug-in. I'm not sure if Elle looked at this part of the color management implementation in GIMP during her work last year. If that's indeed what's happening, it would be great to fix this in 2.10. [Gimp-user] Creating Transparent Text
I am working on a webpage to sell my photography. I am trying to create text with my copyright information on the photos so that they cannot be copied (pirated). I have read the GIMP documentation and experimented with adding text to the photo. I cannot find how to make the text visible but not solid. I do not want it to impact the viewing of the photos. Someone once told me I needed to create a mask to do this or a custom brush. Someone here on the gimp-user list said i could do it just with the text tool. Any help you can offer will be appreciated. ___ gimp-user-list mailing list gimp-user-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list
