@Michael: Happens for both versions, on Ubuntu 16.04.
Here is gif of it happening: https://i.imgur.com/qLcedls.gifv note the only
time the slider moves is right click (moves 10 either direction) or
dragging exactly where arrows are. Clicking on any of the bars does not
move arrows.

Does this happen with both 2.8.16 and 2.8.22, or did it start with 2.8.22?

I was editing an image with GIMP (2.8.16 and 2.8.22) and noticed that if I
click Color Picker -> and try to click the bars on the ride-side column in
the colorpicker they don't seem to move anymore. I can drag the arrows, and
right click to get a percentage move, but before you could click and

Still wrong - try again with quotes
"Richard@HomePC MINGW64 ~"
"$ pacman -S base-devel \"
"> mingw-w64-x86_64-glib-networking"
(If that doesn't work I give up but I'm sure that the intent can be seen!)

Sorry, he above post didn't appear quite as intended. The three lines types into
mingw64 should look like:
Richard@HomePC MINGW64 ~
$ pacman -S base-devel \

(lines typed manually now rather than cut and paste which seemed to upset the
formatting)

I'm locked into Photoshop until I can figure out how to use the gradient tool.
I shoot catalog work, and I want to use GIMP and the Linux platform. However PS
has me locked into the windows world.
I shoot everything on a white background. Sometimes it's not as white as I
want, and I need to

By entering the following lines into mingw64 I can now get the gimp autogen to
work:
Richard@HomePC MINGW64 ~
$ pacman -S base-devel \
> mingw-w64-x86_64-glib-networking
Then press Enter to select all of the options.
This process automatically installs gnutls and nettle (referenced in Partha's
I'm using Gimp to try and re-texture something in a unity game, but when I try
and replace the file with the one I edited, it can't be done because the files
are different sizes. The original file is around 600kb, after going through Gimp
with the only real change being the color, it's 1mb, and I
