a white border. The paspartout is on a different layer, also called

can it, black on white paper.
Magic stick tool, take it.
remove background
add alpha channel
save as xcf.
Insert as layer.
What to do better?

Much better IMHO to avoid the post-stroke deletion by stroking the text
outline on a new layer...
In addition select-by-color does a "binary" selection so the pixels on
the edge are either completely removed
(jagged line) or left (faint colored rim).

The problem with this is the document consist of a page of individual pictures.
When I use Image>Mode>Grayscale, some of the pictures look fine, and others not
so good.

Now, I con only move the document I insert it to, not the signature.
same issue for me, cannot get it to draw on the sheet. Clicking menus and icons
works though...
But once I touch the canvas the pointer stays in its position and I cannot draw
a thing...
