When rectangle select is used, the rectangle can be adjusted by
dragging with the mouse.
When Select All is applied, the rectangle boundary is visible but can
not be adjusted. Why is this? Can Select All produce an adjustable
rectangle?
The rectangle can be adjusted with an additional step - using the
Rectangle select tool on an existing selection initializes it to the
same size (or, more precisely, the size of the bounding box, which
happens to be identical to that of a Select All rectangle).
