First method (long and tedious):
Use the gradient editor, picking colors from the image and
dropping them into the gradient as described in the
GimpUsersManual_2ndEdition.pdf.

I've a HP 930 C printer. I've set up aps filter, to print.
The problem is that it can only print in b/w. When I print from the gimp, I
can print in color.
I was wondering, is it possible to print using the gimp's filters, and if
so, how?

Depends on your system. I'm running Linux, so I installed them
in my local bin directory: ~/jeff/bin which is in my search
path. If you have perl installed, then all you need to do is
run them at a shell prompt.
