gimp-1.3 has always worked with gimp-print. You need the stable
gimp-print 4.2 release though.

I haven't been on this list in probably 4 years, but up until today, I've
been able to figure out how to get the GIMP to do what I want.
Basically, I have 12 xcf files, each having about 30 layers each.

Ok, I've been using Gimp 1.3.23 to do some image work and tried the Text
Tool and LOVE it! :)I've been creating layers like crazy and
noticed as I switch between images and create new layers, the name of
the last layer created becomes the default name of the new layer being

In Gimp 1.2.x it used to be located in /Filters/Render/Add Glow.
I can't seem to find it in Gimp 1.3.23.
