Hi All,
I thought it was impossible (after a few hours of searching) to save a
jpeg without a color profile from within gimp - I have been informed
however that it is possible - I just wasn't given any details ;)
My problem is that when I save a jpeg from gimp, it saves the sRGB color
profile int
try making a script that deletes the icc-profile parasite on the
image, using gimp-image-parasite-detach.

I followed the tutorial here
http://www.gimpguru.org/Tutorials/SmartSharpening/
and stopped at the "Right-click on the duplicate image and select
Image/Mode/Decompose.".
There is no "Decompose" here.
What now ?
I'm on Win32, GIMP 2.4.5.

despite Sven who gave you the correct answer already I suggest to use
the search at http://docs.gimp.org which directly leads to an anser:

Hi,
to be honest, I am somewhat puzzled how you manage to save JPEG files
with an sRGB profile attached to them. How do you determine that they
have this profile attached? Could you perhaps elaborate on how exactly
you create these files and what your color management settings are? You
may want to
1)That is a error in the tutorial Decompose is not a image mode
Is in Colors/Components/decompose...(there is also REcompose you will need it
after )
2) this do not seems a question for the developer list will be better ask to
the gimp user list or to some gimp forum as
