Dear List,
sorry for possible duplications - I only subscribed today!
When I resize images, I always use bicubic precision - unless I forget
to change from "linear (low quality)". To avoid this, I'd prefer to
have high quality scaling as default option.

Hello all,
for several times I managed to create animations witb Gimp 2.2.
Especially nice are web animations (GIF) which are easily done with
GIMP.
Now, for the first time, GIMP's outcome is different from what I expect.
Is it a feature or a bug that partly transparent layers are not shown

thanks for your fast reply. If it was for exporting to GIF, I would have
come to the same conclusion. But it is also within GIMP preview

Don't you have a working copy? If you don't use a CVS/SVN, you might get

Dear list,

that demonstrate the power and usability of GIMP [1].
Some of them are quite convincing. Maybe it's worth
starting a contest for the best Gimp 2.4 tutorial.

Hi,
two suggestions:
1. Anybody (me included) could create a dedicated playlist that we can
link to.

Hi Christopher,
did you ever try to boot a recent Live CD (Kanotix, Sidux, Ubuntu)? I
could imagine that your tablet works out of the box there.

Dear list,
is there any official static builds / backports packaged for Debian
Etch? Openoffice.org 2.3 does a great job there. It was just great to
have Gimp 2.4 with stable Debian [Edu].
Kind regards
