It certainly does, but a new question arises. How can I know, whether the
camera or the scanner won't change the colors? Or can those changes being
discarded?

It means that nobody has developed the technology for the Gimp because
we can't get the licenses to develop it.  I also seem to recall that
trade secrets are involved which we can't get without NDAs (which we,
of course, cannot agree to).

That means that when I want to do so, I've to pay a lot of money to some
company? Or is there commercial software that can do it for me (and allows
