I've seen some tutorials that do either:
1a. Make a Selection and then Feather.
- OR -
1b. Make a Selection, Invert the Selection, and then Feather.
Sometimes, in either case, there is an intervening Grow.
Does the Invert of the Selection and then the Feathering (1b) produce
