As the majority seem to favour Prashanth's approach, I vote for it as well.
Just to make it clearer for all users, please add a **highlighted**
note in the README that informs any visitor to the github page of the
change.

I'm in favour of a stable release every 2 months and an LTS once a
year (option 2).
As Oleksander already suggested, I'm in favour of having well defined
merge windows, freeze dates and testing period.
(A slightly modified timeline from Oleksander's proposal follows)
For every 2 month window,
- 1
+1 for Prashanth's approach.

Hi,
I have tested glusterfs 3.6.9 in Fedora 21 (64-bit version), on a VirtualBox
(version 5.0.18 r106667)
with 5.8 GiB Memory and an Intel(r) Core(tm) i5-4300M CPU @ 2.60GHz Processor
and the following tests are failing in the clean version, with no further
changes in the code:

I would like to wrap this poll by the next community meeting on 25th
May. Can you please weigh in with your opinions on the options

More data points: There are only 15 people who've opened pull requests.
Most of them are people who already work on the project and are aware of
this change. I'm not sure how many people used the command-line vs used
GitHub's UI. This leaves a very small

Hi All,
We are evolving guidelines for managing maintainer lifecycle and will
be sharing the document here soon. Let us adhere to the new process
outlined there for all changes to MAINTAINERS going forward.
Thanks!

Currently on the gluster.org website, we're directing the 'Suggest a
feature' to the old mediawiki site for 'Features'.

In an ideal world, this would go somewhere else. Where should this go?
Let me know and I'll fix it.

Thanks Aravinda. Noted.
It would be great to also have a backup maintainer. Anyone for that?
I am volunteering for backup maintainer.
Thanks,
