I have no idea what the "Authenticator app" is and don''t think I want to know, Jeff, if you can recall everything I went through regarding 2SV before I got the smartphone. Why do you use that instead of, for ex., printing out verif. codes that are sent you by Google when you opt for them?

That's good to know. It doesn't surprise me that they have started using that method to gain access to people's Google accounts. I am setup to use the Authenticator app when getting codes for 2-step authentication so Google does not send me text messages with verification codes. Jeff On Fri,
