Fellow Penguins,
It was recently suggested to me that there would be quite the overlap of
interest enough to post to the discuss list, please pardon the relevancy.

Thanks for the responses to the questionnaire!
TL;DR - Great topics suggested, valuable info collected, need more
interest in event hosting.
It was pointed out to me that making results private was a better idea.

I have got tired of post-processing because of the time it takes. Sad to
say google's auto-awesome impresses me in terms of time efficiency.
Laziness aside, if I remember correctly rawtherapee was a pretty good

Ultimately that is what it comes down to. If you
How do I run that (auto-awesome) on my Linux box?
I talk about google's awesome corrections a bit tongue in cheek, most of
them are awful instagramy type effects. There is however an auto-enhance

subtle enough to be effective

Huh, that doesn't really work either. I can get up to 6, but I still
have to choose carefully (or something). Maybe the Linux keyboard driver

Sounds like a great deal.
Recently at the RI home show, I picked up 4 bulbs subsidized by National

Things are starting to look bright for LEDs regardless of subsidies. Like

I've never used labview or the newest version off mindstorm, so honestly

The big point is, making programing accessible is great if it can be used
practically and the programer identifies him or herself as having

Hey Kenny,
One thing I really want to recommend against is scratch or mindstorm. I
think they are both really fun and all, but no one that solely uses
graphical code block type systems self identify as a programmer or has
confidence to tackle issues that involve code. Honestly it defeats the

Hey folks!
In light of current events I decided Ubuntu is going to be the
demonstration piece for Saturday.
So far looks like it's safe to say we will have about 5-6 penguin friendly
people and about 7-10 penguin curious based on meet-up and eventbrite sign
ups
Still starts at Ten, but I'll be
open house (6pm-8pm).
I'll likely be in giving tours, I can take a look with you when tours
simmer down.
Cheers,

Another alternative to Mattermost, discord, or Slack is Element/Matrix.
They have free matrix.org servers you can create channels on. The caveat
being that the free servers are slow compared to hosting your own federated
server. Which you can pay for through their service called Modular. Another
