It's very unlikely someone is actively working on those at the moment. It
would be great to go through them and change status for those seemingly
outdated or invalid.

Yes, for English content, edit the files
under /gnome-user-docs/gnome-help/C/.

Hi Petr,

Thanks for this information.

In preparation of possibly becoming a member of the
gnome-user-docs-maint team, I had a look at the buglist (1), to see how
it works. What strikes me is that some bugs with status NEW are pretty
old (2013, 2014). Should the status be updated, or does it mean that
there are still people working on it?

I have also looked at the structure of gnome-user-docs (2). I am not yet
familiar with the location where files are to be edited, perhaps
/gnome-user-docs/gnome-help/C (filename.page)? If there is a wiki page
with instructions, I haven't found it yet.

The best way for me to learn Mallard is by looking at existing user-docs
pages and copy tags from them.

I will continue to read information on how to become a contributor. If I
have any questions, I will use this list or #doc.

Re: New contributor

2017-11-25 Thread Hannie Dumoleyn

Hello Sajolida,
I am glad there is at least one member of gnome-user-docs who uses this
list to communicate with other members.
I have not yet started a discussion on some things that bother me,
because I had the impression this list is not used very often.

With "elsewhere" you mean perhaps a chat room or something like that?
I will start a discussion in a separate email to this list and we'll see
if there will be any reactions.

Best regards,
Hannie

I will send seperate emails to this list about the things I would like

Unfortunately, I've seen almost no discussion happening on this list
since I subscribed years ago. I bet people working on the GNOME
documentation do this elsewhere (where?).
