Thanks David, Derek, and John.  I understand it's a volunteer effort and resolution isn't guaranteed, that's why I waited nearly a month before checking in.  I didn't want to seem as if I was being pushy or acting entitled to anything, but I did want to make sure that I wasn't missing anything.

I thought I should ask here since some time has passed. I filed a bug report (798296) at bugs.gnucash.org on the 27th of August, and it's still marked as NEW. At this point, I'm wondering if I should have (and perhaps still should) have taken any action in addition to filing the bug.
