James, If you are not seeing the transactions you have already entered and the accounts in the account tab it is possible that you have not saved the datafile. To do this use the File-Save As menu item immediately after starting GnuCash up. It will then automatically open the same file next

I am looking for something that I may have already. I have had Linux Mint loaded on this laptop for about a month. also have been playing with Gnucash about 3 weeks. still getting us to this, As I find it very nice program. As i dont know if I have a problem with the two of them, I don't know.
