Ah, this was the problem for me as well. I found an ancient Templeton fund that hadn't been switched over. The actual bug here (and I have written it before on this mailing list) is that the error message that Gnucash provides is useless. It needs to contain more information about what failed.

Finance-Quote 1.45 AlphaVantage ETFs return incorrect UKP amount

Earlier it was reported that UK prices were returned from AlphaVantage 100x too high. This was changed in an F-C update and my UK share prices are now correctly reported but my ETFs prices are reported as 100x too low, see below. Using Finance-Quote 1.45 Finance::Quote fields Gnucash uses:
