I solved my problem.
While looking for the password info, I found some lockimng-related files in
C:\Users\me\aqbanking\settings\users. They looked like
uid%3a%3a0001.conf.lck.DigitalStorm-PC-17640
uid%3a%3a0001.conf.lck
I deleted them and the expected behavior returned.

I have been using v3.5 on Win 10 for some time.
Yesterday, online banking started acting weirdly. The behavior continues
today.
When I use Actions -> Online Actions -> Get Transactions ...
the action proceeds without requesting a password. This happens for all 3
accounts that I use.

I am running GNC 3.3 on Win 10.
I can get quotes reliably via the CLI (gnc-fq-dump), but using the GUI I see
failures every time.
Most often, there is a popup that lists the failed quotes (which is all
stocks). I have tried switching provider, but no difference.

I have 3 users defined for online retrieval: 2 for Schwab, 1 for Vanguard.
Everything was fine a for a one of the Schwab users. I have restarted
gnucash, rebooting, but the problem persists.
Any ideas?
