Thanks Adrien. The restricted/qualified search string worked great. I was just searching for FOSS payroll software. Too many wrong results. I'm thinking your suggestion to use a spreadsheet might be the trick needed. I'm seeing my friend later today so I'll suggest this as an option too.

Firefox is a browser, not a search engine, but I believe the current version defaults to using Google for it’s combo address bar-search field. (you can customize the toolbar to show the old separate search field where you can install many search engines and choose between them when searching)
