Dear all you GnuCash geniuses, I had a GnuCash crash and suddenly I tried to reopen the file and it gave me the option to quit, or open anyway, and I quickly and without thinking or knowing any better, clicked ‘open anyway’ and that was the end of my life as we know it. Besides the fact that

Maf, unfortunately the only file that I can open is the .LNK extension. The previous open file is in the list of files on my desktop that is right above the .LNK file (see the .pdf screenshots) and when I try to open that, it always and repeatedly opens the .LNK file. I have tried many

Maf, I think this is hopeless. The .LNK file is in the same listing with the other files and it did not get left behind. Instead, it is always opening, no matter what other file I try to pull thru the File>Open window. Anita > On 4 Nov 2018, at 18:07, Maf. King wrote: > > > Right. first

Maf, I am sorry. Yes, I aways mean gnucash, not gnu. I have the GnuCash icon in the dock and when I click on it, it is supposed to open my program so I can go to work. One day I was working in that program, and specifically in the checking account, and the program GnuCash crashed for a
