Is there a way to change the text color in the accounts tabs?I like to have
unique colors for each of my most-used accounts, but the default grey text
practically disappears on many of them (either when I select them or when they

In this case you will have to do as Adrien said:

Maybe Geert does know ;-) if gnucash use the gtk defaults then maybe it does
not exist or need to. This is not really not a problem if I can modify the
bits that concern me. I don't need to know what I don't need to know.
My main interest in modifying the layout and colors in gnucash 3.3 is

Your best bet is to fire up the gtk+ Inspector and view them that way. Some of
them may be ‘default’ settings offered by Gtk3 and not at all be specified in
the GnuCash code.

Very good to know that, thanks!
But in a simplified practice and generic way, we can consider that the

Looking at the available properties, I didn’t see one that would work on the

other properties not related to CSS. It would be nice if Gnome added them to

I see there is a GtkStatusBar (name=“GtkStatusBar”). You can try that. It seems

By definition, a class is not particularly specific. It applies to multiple
elements.
You’d need to use a rule that targets the desired element(s) better.
If you mean the bar that has “Present” “Future” “Cleared” “Reconciled” and
“Projected Minimum” then I’ve attached a screenshot for that

Apparently yes, but for me it works, test and report your results.
Some selectors are like that, appear to be unspecific, see some for the
register,
Another attempt at attaching the CSS Node Tree...

Adrien,
IIUC mailman insists that attachments be at the end of the message, not
inlined. Since you’re top-posting that means after all of the quoted text, not
just after your post.

Nice,
For this bar I found the selectors:
.default-color {
color: lime;
}
.negative-numbers {
color: red;
}

GTI
I’m not sure. I’ve seen and even sent attachments in the past. So I know they
are possible. It might be a size issue. I’ll see about cropping as much as
possible and resending.

Mailman does strip certain attachments from the list. It's often easier
to place a link to an image hosting site instead of getting your email
Adrien, still no joy.

The Summary/Totals bar can appear at the top or bottom of the CoA window
depending on a preference setting. It shows a Grand Total, Net Assets & Profit
line summary for the entire book on a running basis. (I presume the Profit at
least would reset if you use the ‘close book’ function, but since

records sheets?

I'm in awe of what all you folks are doing and sharing, but there's some of
us who just don't have the time, interest or ability to even begin to go
that route, no matter how successful the end game is...
Miss having a simple way to make basic changes and customizing the
appearance of GnuCash
Thanks GTI, I'd already spotted the duplication, but unfortunately, not
until after I posted.

I had already tried some of these, but I've tried again.
I get results with:-

margin-top: -8px;
margin-bottom:-3px;
padding-left: 0px;
padding-right: 0px;
