I made a custom stamp in Acrobat Pro containing the EFT details. I now print the invoice to PDF, add the stamp and done. This is far from ideal, but at least it gets me where I want. The "Australian Tax Invoice" eguile report on my end does seem to use the Extra notes option. Perhaps you'd be keen to try the beta invoice engine?
