These days Goan media is buzzing with Save Goa - Save Konkani buzz words. It
seems to me as if Goa and Konkani is on the verge of extinction. Did Goa and
Konkani survived 451 years of colonial rule much longer then other states of
Indian Union? Why is this sudden onslaught by politicians,
Pinheiro rightly points out the double standards of Goans. We have said it
before that Goa's case is one where Goans want to eat the cake as well as
