Can you provide some quick details regarding why you require a reset?
Normally we only provide them when absolutely necessary (e.g.
syncing).
Previously we had a more open posting policy, but with the level of
traffic the group sees the spam-to-legitimate ratio was fairly high.

Sure! Well... it was going to be for an svnsync.
Although my last message wasn't spam, since I requested the reset, my team
has decided to throw out our old code base, so I won't actually be needing
that reset after all.
