I found https://quickchart.io/qr-code-api/ to be a robust and reliable
alternative. It can easily handle all similar parameters including colors,
option of generating svg and adding logo

No change, sorry; Google Charts does not support QR codes. Your choices are
to rely on the deprecated Google Image Chart API or to use a non-Google
service for QR codes. (Or just download a software library for generating
the QR codes yourself.)
