Recent versions of REDCap have support for texting via Twilio. After some
hassle with firewalls and such, we found it works for our needs.

Currently, we are finishing up integrating SMS texting engine (custom coding +
hardware based) with REDCap using REDCap API. This module will be able to send
SMS text alert messages to mobile phones based on pre-defined conditions. D
