Hi there,
for my thesis in geography I'm working with GRASS and have to figure
something out about TOPMODEL resp. r.topmodel.
On http://geni.ath.cx/r.topmodel.html
I read:

package. It is rather a set of conceptual tools that

Wow! Lots of advice flooding in. Thanks to all.
v.in.ogr Still fails to import the dbf even if sqlite is my internal
database. I solved the problem by using the cnames option to v.in.ogr.

Thank you guys...
I think I solved it now!
I found in GDAL mailing list following statement:

It sounds like the case sensitive path issue that bit me a while back.
A lot of vmap data was saved with mixed upper and lower case file

How I got around it is I
Hi Craig,
there are already several bug reports about problems (bad experiences) with the
10 characters limit in dbf. A simple solution is to use sqlite instead.

Hello list,
I am using a GIS called MGE which has a module (called MGGA) that can export
MGGA grids into Grass raster format. It produces the directories
cats, cell, cellhd, cellmisc, and colr. Anyone know what I do with this?
Thanks in advance,

I can't figure out how to solve a problem with a line feature shapefile I
have. It has been wrongly created as 81 single lines touching each other
with their vertexes. I need to merge the lines into a unique line. I've
tried with v.edit and the merge tool, two times. First time it gave me 32

Ok I found out the problem meanwhile you were answering. I had 4 lines but
three of them where very weird: 2 points, vertex to the same vertex - a
point, but stored as a line. I couldn't see it, beacuse it was superimposed
on the major, single line.
I think it was a problem with the original
Only works marginally well because part of my vector drawing is being
ignored.
Acrobat only exports R13, R14 and LT2000. It appears v.in.dxf doesn't
support these newer formats. So, part of the data comes over, but not
all of it.
Suggestions?
