Hi:
I am trying to read the AVHRR 14 day NDVI composites downloaded from Earth
Explorer. Each composite contains a .img and a .ddr file and gdal doesn't
recognize it. I guess this is more of a gdal related question, but hopefully
someone in the list has already done it.
Thanks.

Hi list:
I'm trying to start the wxpython GUI on GRASS 6.4 (self-compiled) on Snow
Leopard. I get the following error: Connot set locale to 'es_AR' . Is there
a way to make the GUI start in english?
Thanks,
Jaime

Hi list:
I recently compiled GRASS 6.4 on Snow Leopard. When I try to start grass
(grass64 -wx) I get the following error (after dealing with the 64/32 bit
issue):
in _parse_localename
raise ValueError, 'unknown locale: %s' % localename
ValueError: unknown locale: UTF-8

Hi list:
I've just started to use GRASS on a Mac, specifically running Snow Leopard.
However, the GUI response is extremely slow and whenever I resize the map
window it freezes. I wonder it this is caused by the Tcl/Tk implementation on
Mac. Is someone else having similar issues? i compiled it
Hi Aaron:
You can export the vector files to illustrator and manipulate them, using the
raster files you modified with photoshop. This is what I do with Inkscape and
The GIMP.

Hi list,
I'm starting to use grass 64 and the GUI has been improved a lot; the new icons
are really nice too. Unfortunately, I've been trying to use wxnviz, but haven't
been able to do so. I've compiled grass with wxwidgets, and nviz (trad) works
fine. I'm attaching the problem at the end.
Hi all,
I was thinking it would be good to know if some grass users are presenting work
done with GRASS at AGU this week. If so, I would like to know.
Cheers,

Hi List,
I've installed the latest 6.3.0 but can't get wxgrass. I compiled using
--with-python --with-wxwidgets

Hi John:
You can import the triangular mesh as a vector file by first importing the
nodes with v.in.ascii and by creating a three column table (as you have three
water elevation values) linked to the id number of each node. To create the
triangular mesh run v.delaunay.

Hi all,
I've written a module to generate triangular meshes based on a vector map. The
module uses Jonathan Jonathan Shewchuk's Triangle library and is available here:

Hi list,
My apologies if this question fits better in the developers list.
I'm trying to understand how db_fetch works and why am getting a strange error.
After a query is executed and db_open_select_cursor is used, db_fetch is used
to fetch the data of the resultant query. AFAIK,
Hi list,
For a couple of days I've been trying to create three different areas from a
polygon (outer boundary) and two contour lines. The polygon is
rectangle-shaped, while the contours intersect the rectangle on the right hand
side boundary. Is there a way to create three different areas
