[GRASS-user] reading AVHRR NDVI composites

Hi: I am trying to read the AVHRR 14 day NDVI composites downloaded from Earth Explorer. Each composite contains a .img and a .ddr file and gdal doesn't recognize it. I guess this is more of a gdal related question, but hopefully someone in the list has already done it. Thanks. Jaime

Hi list, I'm starting to use grass 64 and the GUI has been improved a lot; the new icons are really nice too. Unfortunately, I've been trying to use wxnviz, but haven't been able to do so. I've compiled grass with wxwidgets, and nviz (trad) works fine. I'm attaching the problem at the end.

Hi John: You can import the triangular mesh as a vector file by first importing the nodes with v.in.ascii and by creating a three column table (as you have three water elevation values) linked to the id number of each node. To create the triangular mesh run v.delaunay. Jaime John Overton
