v.what.rast...
...and conversion into points produces more than one point for some
or multiple with the same cat (as I thought)
Any suggestions are very welcome

PS:
workaround would be:
v.to.rast with old values
update centros of reclassed map from that raster map
- but it seems a bit in-elegant..
...and which is a bit complicated as centroids cannot be used
Hi all,
I am using grass6.5, so I can use some v.select options.
Now I have a general problem with objects that are very,
very close to each other: only some digits far behind the
comma are different.
Is there a way to define the accuracy?
Thanks for hints,
Achim

Dear grass users,
I think I know what is needed...
to solve the problem (see below, mainly coming from splitting lines on
edges between raster-cells), I will have to:
1) identify the verts
2) move these verts
!! (Even though v.buffer would take sooo... long)
Best regards,
Achim

Is there something like cs2cs?

maybe
v.clean input=wtrhhrt output=bewtbt tool=rmdangle thresh=999
could help? Maybe serveral times with different threshs.

Hi Hamish,
thanks for your suggestions. It is very useful to get ideas from a

ps- there was an old wish (in trac??) to have a variable set to
