I have non-conformant devices, too. That hasn't stopped me, though.
Could you be a little more specific about the nature of the problem you
need to solve? There are a variety of ways to solve such an issue. It
would help to know what platform you're using for the graylog server
itself, linux
This is just a quick write up of how I have Graylog 2 running in Docker.
I'm using Ubuntu 15.10 and the official Docker repository, and I added my
user to the docker group.
I put all my Graylog data on the /graylog2 directory on the host, so each
container has volumes mapped there.

Hi Jochen,

Hi Folks,
Running latest graylog beta on Centos 6.7. I have graylog-collector-0.4.2
running on a separate Centos 6.7 server.
My collector is not appearing in System/Collectors in the UI and throws the
following warnings:
2016-04-06T15:48:42.962+ WARN [HeartbeatService RUNNING]

I am testing Graylog and immediately the first device is not RFC compliant
and I cannot adjust the UDP port. I also know the second device/vendor i
need to add will have the same issue.
Is there a way to apply an extractor to only specific sources or
source-ip's ? Or am I forced to setup a
I'm only playing with Graylog2, not using it for anything productive but I
am very impressed and slightly overwhelmed with the possibilities.

for and how?

Dear All,
I recently setup a graylog2 server on ubuntu 14.04
I am testing the graylog collector and have it working, and sending logs to
the graylog server when running it from command line:
graylog-collector.bat run -f collector.conf
I can see the message in the stout in the cmd prompt,
I am actually new to graylog and frankly not quite aware of how graylog is
triggering the drools rule engine so it might be a very simple question
with an obvious solution which is somehow escaping me .
I am trying to improve an already existing (drl code) by invoking another

Hi Clayton,
you can simply take a look at the version of the DEB package you've
installed on Ubuntu Linux with the following command: dpkg -l 'graylog-*'
Alternatively you can query a running Graylog server with the following
cURL command (replace "USER:PASSWORD" with your credentials and
