I just now had a fresh reading of text from Ambedkar written in
early1940s.
I wish to share a few excerpts with you and everybody else here, my

I may suggest that the view of Ambedkar on the minority question may
be apprised by taking into account what were his thoughts on the
imperative of social reform in the Hindu India as opposed to the
political change in governance. This topic is better dealt with under
Ranade,Gandhi and Jinnah,
The points I think Ambedkar had made there are :
1.India was badly in need of social reform, as envisaged by people
like Ranade.
2.In their hurry to immediately seize power, both the Congress and the
Muslim League leadership imperiled the prospects of social reform.

era with those of Arundhati Roy as expressed in 2006 in an interview
in a conversation with Amit Sengupta, published in Tehelka! I
