These sounds like too good approaches. The hard part of all these kinds of systems is making them foolproof. Accidentally wiping all your data is no fun. The best bet is to use a device that is easily and fully backed up. Then wiping it is no big deal. .hc Josh Conway: > Another option

Another option could require constant connection with the 'net, over say a Tor phone-in server. If the connection isn't present for $time, require password. If password isn't typed in, phone reboots and you get 30 chances of bootup password. That way, it would be hard to attack the tor server.
