Yes the domain name got purchased from under them.
The link in my links section was from archive.org since it was still
up for a long time. Try it that way.
There is a huge amount of gloves from the 17th century that can be
found everywhere. There are few online museums that even let you
zoom in

Visual History of Costume Accessories by Valerie Cumming, but alas,
they're all in black and white.
