The image is maintained by the team for official Docker images on
GitHub: https://github.com/docker-library/haproxy

To contribute in docker-library/* repositories you would simply create
a

pull request. In fact I did so myself to get the 1.7.x release onto
Docker Hub in the past:
https://github.com/docker-library/haproxy/pull/35

Thanks tim. I will go this way.

Yes.

Please can you use the meta repo where I link to the dedicated repo.

https://gitlab.com/aleks001/haproxy

OK now done on the left navigation bar.

Wow men you are fast 8-O.

Thank you

I will also add 1.8-dev soon ;-)

Maybe I can contribute to the official repo & image.

Do you know who maints this image?

No, but I was recently asked and am now wondering whether it's someone
here on the list or maybe even someone from HapTech, but I don't know.
I've added this link as well.

The differentiation between the centos and rhel is only for some
company

policies.

Some company rules say 'Only enterprise software (OS, Apps, ...)' for
this I

maintaine the rhel part.

OK that makes sense.

I know the most of the pros and cons of such rules but you know *rules
are

rules* ;-)

Oh yes :-)

Cheers,
Willy

I have access there, but I have no time to maintain it. I'll ask if
someone else from HAPTECH wants to take it over, and if not I'll open
discussions internally to pass that over to Aleksandar.

Ah OK thanks for the info, I had not completely dreamt then :-)
Is it possible to have multiple maintainers there ? That's a common
need in opensource projects, it would make it easier for everyone.

I'm open to help ;-)
Now as self-employed person I can decide what I want to do and this is
one which I definitively want to do ;-)

Thanks!
Willy

Hi,

HAProxy 1.7.5 was released on 2017/04/03. It added 8 new commits
after version 1.7.4. The main goal was to fix an incomplete fix
on the compression filter in 1.7.4, that now manifests itself as
the haproxy spinning at 100% CPU until the connection dies.

It's now available on docker hub.

There was also a potential read-past-end for one byte fixed in the
peers protocol, though it can only happen after the handshake, which
means it can only be triggered from one of the authorized peers. The
impact is quite limited but it's better to get it fixed.

A warning was added for situations where "option tcp/httplog" could
override a log-format in the defaults section.
