Re: [Hardhats-members] Medtronic LIFEPAK 12
There are numerous medical devices which do work with VistA. One of the best people to contact concerning lab and medical device interfaces is Bill Ackerman from the VA in Chicago. He and his father are frequent visitors to this list. Perhaps Bill has some insight to the problems involved in doing device interface. - Original Message - From: Nancy Anthracite [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net Sent: Monday, June 05, 2006 8:46 PM Subject: Re: [Hardhats-members] Medtronic LIFEPAK 12 The VA has interfaces for some devices and I have been trying to get the information about what devices and the code. Mostly, it is the choice of the manufacturers to provide the code that meets the specifications provided by the VA, not the reverse. It pays to be the 1000 pound gorilla of healthcare! Re: [Hardhats-members] Need Information Regarding Vista Imaging Module
If you are in the US, if you make a demo, you will potentially be putting yourself squarely in the crosshairs of the FDA as that is considered to be marketing unless it is a purely academic exercise and you never intend to install VistA imaging or help to install it anywhere. That said, if you still want the code, the code from 2004 is on my server along with a list of the proprietary components, and there is supposed to be another FOIA release being prepared. There is also the test version of the Hui Imaging package on my server. Here is how I was able to get the meds from the outpatient med list to display active in the CPRS med list and orders: This is important because if you choose non-VA meds to populate the patients med list, they are an active status but you cant refill them. Clinical Reminders dont work in OV4 after primary installation and configuration. These will report success and errors and suggest checks needed. 2) MAP LOCAL LAB NAMES TO NATIONAL TERMS: D ^XUP; REMINDER TERM; 2 (REMINDER TERM MANAGEMNT); 2 (REMINDER TERM MANAGEMENT); TE (REMINDER TERM EDIT); SELECT REMINDER TERM: VA-LDL: 1; SELECT FINDING: LT.LDL; CHOOSE LDL CHOLESTROL; PRESS ENTER UNTIL: CONDITION: I (+V0); enter through the other prompts except: CONDITION CASE SENSITIVE:// NO; Do the same for LDL-CHOL (calculated), so VA-LDL has two mapped entries. Then do the same for VA-LDL(100-119) I (+V99)(+V120) VA-LDL(120-129) I (+V119)(+V131) VA-LDL(100) I (+V0)(+V100) VA-LDL 120 I (+V0)(+V120) EACH OF THE FOUR VA-LDL TERM SHOULD HAVE 2 MAPPED ITEMS. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONAL ITEMS TO MAP. SEE THE SETUP GUIDE. 3) Set the user and system levels: D ^XUP; CPRS REMIN; NP; 4 SYSTEM; USE NEW REMINDER PARAMETERS: YES 4) Because this is set at the system level, providers still can turn on and off the reminders in CPRS. If you want to make them mandatory, turn them on at the user level. You can test reminders at the REMINDERS MANAGER MENU using REMINDER TEST (RT). Errors will go to your mailbox.
