It's stripped of features and AFAIK only does winxp but is better integrated. So vmware and parallels are much more robust for advanced and general purpose. Virtual xp is just there to ensure compatibility with win7. The virtual xp thing is going to come with one of the win7 versions for

Yes, it is like any other virtual appliance. In that regard. Apps installed in win7 do not show up in virtual xp unless you reinstall them again. But system devices and drives do. - Brian Weeden Technical Advisor Secure World Foundation On 11-Jul-09, at 3:48 PM, "Gary" wrote:

Not here. Radeon 4850 is the video card in my main machine. The games I've played (Fallout 3, Civ 4 BtS, a few in Steam) actually run better under Win7 than there were in XP before. It took me a bit to get some of my x200t tablet drivers working (like the screen rotation) but that was just a mat

Instead of dual booting, have you tried the Virtual XP option that comes with Win7? It's a custom virtual PC add-on that works very well. What's so cool is that when you install apps in the virtual XP for all users, they show up in your Win7 start menu. It's very slick. http://lifehacker.com/52

I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a few extra days for W7 to be posted to MSDN and TechNet, given that the 13th is just the RTM sign-off day. They've historically outsourced the most popular downloads for MSDN and TN to Akamai, so there's a good chance that server availability will be acceptab
