You were right about the change in the BIOS being the culprit. It won't
run with ACC set to Hybrid and Auto but for some reason the first time I
reset the CMOS it still wouldn't power up. Everything is running peach

Can not say that ECC removes the danger of bad RAM. ECC does allow some
correction (protection) for bad RAM and just truck on.
Bad RAM is BAD RAM. ECC is better than what most of us us normally, but
I do not believe it is the complete band-aid.
