A teacher remembers a TV miniseries from the 1970s on the Warsaw
Ghetto. It is not the video Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Does this
sound familiar to anyone? He thinks it was simply called The Warsaw
Ghetto. Was this ever made into a video?? I cannot find it anywhere.

We have some computers which run microsoft vista. We are encounterng
problems when we try to open the Bar Ilan Responsa CD. Have any of
you experienced this? Any ideas how to use the Bar Ilan on computers
with vista?

A co-worker has a manuscript, written by her father-in-law, which the
family would like to have bound. It does not have to be hardcover;
they would just like it to look substantial (not spiral bound)

I have a high school student who is researching the eye. He heard
somewhere that the Vilna Gaon said that since the Hebrew word for
eye is ayin there are seventy nerves, veins and/or muscles in the
eye. He is trying to find out if this is true.
Does anyone know if the Vilna Gaon really said

One of my teachers is looking for an article written by Yehuda Etzion
in a periodical called Nekudah. The article might have been
written in 1994 and dealt with the period after Oslo.
If any of you have this periodical and can fax me the article, I
would be grateful. We will reimburse for
Chelsea House published a book in 2004, by Robert Cotrell, entitled
The Green Line;the division of Palestine. Is there anything we can
do as individuals, or that AJL can do as an organization, to make
them aware that this title is problematic?

It is found in Sefer Chasidim, the edition published by Mossad HaRav Kook,
paragraph 162. Also
I am looking for a reasonably-priced (used) copy of Rabbinical Mathematics
and Astronomy by W.M. Feldman, in good condition.

Any ideas where I can obtain a copy of the pamphlet by Selig Brodetsky
entitled Astronomy in the Babylonian Talmud? It's about 30 pages and was
published by Kesser Torah in 1979.

A teacher brought in some seforim and would like to know if they are worth
anything:
A 5-volume set of Chok Yisrael, published in Russia in 1898. This is a
Mikraot-Gedolot type of set with various perushim, like Rashi, as well as
the Zohar and perushim in Yiddish.
