You may want to include the J.Levine Co. in this project. My husband's great-grandfather started this bookstore in 1890 on the Lower East Side, and it is currently thriving in Midtown. It's mentioned in note 3 of the article by Leiman in Tradition. I remember visiting J.Levine on Eldridge
