Anyone using TBS's SHUR/MarkĀ® Software? Looking for references, what works,
downtime, what would you change if you could?
Thanks!

We also retain ours; for about 2 weeks. I have plastic bins labeled Monday 1/
Monday 2.. ect.. that way I don't have to search through all of them if I have
a question about a case.

You can get these all on a CD and take the practice tests as many times as you
like. It's a great resource to test yourself.

The information contained
The tape cover slippers are quicker, easier to manage the slides, but the cover
slips pop off over time; the glass cover slippers are a bit temperamental; the
slides take longer to dry, and the quality is better, and the cover slip stays
on.

I agree with Jan, I just got a Ventana for Christmas (thanks Santa).. ok, just
a coincidence of timing, but I really like it. It is very simple to set up and
walk away from.

I would completely agree, to make Dragon work you must want it to work. We use
it successfully with AP Easy in the pathology lab, and successfully with Gmed
in the rest of the office.

The information contained in the message and the documents
, and the customer service
from the folks at EBS was outstanding; they even had a prob and air agitator
block style holder designed and built for me when I suggested that it should
come with one. I really like our model, and it offers great flexibility in our
lab.

-dilute antibody..
but I have used the pressure cooker at high temp, 15 mins with success. It
allows you to pick low/high also..
Much cheaper than other models I looked at.

for that.
Of course many don't need the incentive of required CE to obtain it, but it
helps to promote the profession. I hope it will raise the level of perceived
professionalism by medical administrators.

The major problem in a veterinary histo lab is generally 1 processor to process
all types of tissues and species. The lab I can from had this problem; you can
only optimize the schedule if you limit your tissues.
Some are under, some are over; and a small percentage are just right.
