Is anyone else noticing issues with West Coast servers? There's only ~150 -
200 servers showing up for me on the West Coast, and over 1600 on the East
Coast. Earlier the number jumped around between 50 and 200. I'm also certain
this isn't an issue on my end, as other people I know are seeing the
I would like to know, too. I haven't had a problem with the list, but
that would explain why my West coast Insurgency server has suddenly been
unusually empty for about a week. It was #1 ranked last week, and now
it's at #5 according to GameTracker. I know of one person on the East
coast
Hey, don't you run those Q-Clan servers with fake players and redirect
players from empty servers to full servers using an exploit with an HTML
MOTD?
If I'm not mistaken, you also used other various exploits to somehow restict
players so that they could only go to your servers. At least thats
Are you speaking to me or the Steve guy talking about insurgency servers?
I am not from -Q-, I run the *PAT* clan.

you guys haven't realized yet that valve has stopped caring about there
games? We have been waiting for over a month for a fix for tf2 hell
there are still some bugs from the beta that they still haven't fixed. I

let me guess you are one of those people who use fake clients too? I would
like to say first that *PAT* does NOT run any fake clients. We believe in
playing by the rules. As you can see from the fake client thread we are not
one of those clans:

- -Q-
- ]TGP[
- CircleX
What are your server IP's so I can check them if they appear for me on the
list?

There is no server instance on that IP. A google search of that IP comes up
empty.
You can google any server IP and it will get a result on at least some of
the websites that track the servers. Thats completely empty. It doesnt
exist.
Maybe thats why it's not on the master list? It doesn't

I was looking for a steam://command that would allow me to have a link to
join a steam community group. However I can not seem to find one and there
is not one listed in the SDK.
Is there one?
Thank you
I think the only way you can join a Steam group is via the web interface at
steamcommunity.com

But but! An admin from CircleX posts on this list and he said he runs vanilla
servers and is on the up and up!
(Too lazy to dig up the emails about it where I called him out on it and he
denied it.)
It's jerks like those that make legit admins harder to come by, and the games
less fun.
The Valve Bitch-And-Hate Mailing List is that way. --

I have used this sourcemod plugin:
http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=58668
with the command: join-group Join the Crazy GFL Group
http://steamcommunity.com/gid/{groupidgoeshere}
This just opens the steam group in the MOTD, its the best that the protocol
allows.. (read best I could
Thanks,
I dont run sourcemod in any of my servers. Is the server still stable with
metamod and SM installed?

No. It's right here - Unless you know of another place where we dedicated
server operators are supposed to express our concerns and experiences.
I still have no idea how people can actually *defend* valve. They are NOT in a
defensible position.
They need to stop adding new perks/content,
I posted this in another thread, but it wouldn't be good to steal it or really
bring that thread down so i thought i would just make a new one.
I don't know how many people will post in this or if it will go anywhere, but
it's time to make a post to tell valve how we feel. I used to defend and

Hi SakeFox,
I don't think that this is the place to post this. Again, this mailing list
is for information exchanging between server admins. It would be best if you
posted about your concern on a Valve forum.
In light of that fact that others will post on this subject here, and I
can't prevent

Thank you..
Really month after month it's the same complaints about Valve yet month
after month nothing changes.. We really don't need 15 people saying the same
thing over and over and over...
I understand that this is a serious issue and it was brought up I just don't
see what complaining
