I'll just drop this here as apparently the posts get removed from
steampowered forums for no apparent reason.
First off, don't get me wrong, I support the idea of improving the steam
community features and would love to see it extended to be more of a use to
players and server operators.

I'd have thought under privacy laws they have to put this feature in
asap.. I never considered it like that before.
Certainly here in the UK they could be in serious trouble if it gets
noticed...

If you do not want this information to be public then you will need to
set your profile to 'friends only' or private.
I will talk to the developer behind this feature later today to see
about the possibility of more fine grain privacy settings.
