If your CSS server is crashing, it's related to it having certain
plugins on OR you run same maps all over / too many memory consuming
maps which leads to crash. This leads tho things like you see black
sofas on cs_office after playing de_nightfever or some other material
changes it's texture
It's not that strange at all. They all receive bogus information from
Valve and go down if there are players playing on them. Reason for this
is unknown. Let the conspiracy theories appear (in your heads, please do
not post those into this list) !

I thought it was assumed to be bad item data, caused by valve not fixing the
items with names of '' properly.
That would explain why it causes server and client crashes anyway.

@ sten rulz
I've upped the code (C#) that I used for a similar purpose here:
http://pastebin.com/ndrpdhqr
It's crappy, but it should get the work done. Look up that PostData class
(just something I found by Googling) or slap the request together yourself.

It has been a while like that. To avoid issues with that somewhat broken status
list I wrote my own plugin for a status list (although there are some
downsides):

And yeah, status seems to work only per TCP.

I havn't seen this issue before, so I thought let's just post it here..
I noticed, that my 1000fps server needs about 1 to 2 minutes to change to a
different map.
All the maps on there, are from valve. And the server has a fresh install.
I don't have this issue on my other servers though.
Map load times are usually a problem with disk I/O. What kind of hard
drives do you have, what is the RPM on them? I hope they're SATA.

Yes they are. I have them in raid 1, and are running at 7200 RPM...

RAID is probably doing you no service, but then again I notoriously hate
on RAID so take that as you will. 7200 is pretty lower end. If speed is
an issue to you then I recommend buying faster drives. I just got a
15000 RPM and the map changes faster than you can blink.

SSD's really aren't the most viable option for servers for a plethora of
reasons that you can research yourself.

Windows RAIDS are horrible. msleeper is right, don't use them. If you had
a raid controller, that would be much better depending ok cache and disk
speeds. 15k drives are best.
