Re: [hlds] CSS Update 27/10/11
Game updates often change the way the game plays, looks or feels. They also break things. Historically, Valve has let us know about most updates here on this list, including the optional ones because its the right thing to do and makes bug tracking easier. I hope Valve continues to tell us about all updates they release so we know about them in case something breaks. Tracking down server problems is tough enough under ideal conditions, and much more difficult when they are a result of a ninja update we heard nothing about. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

Thanks Tony. My fear was more directed at not receiving the mail. I've gone through 4 different emails for this list because my servers start rejecting them and we can't figure why. Re: [hlds] Killing Floor Halloween Event Coming Soon
Actually, it goes out on the HLDS list because we use HLDS to deliver our Dedicated Servers. Most games on Steam do not do this, unless they are using the Source Engine, but Tripwire exclusively uses HLDS to deliver our games, even though they are on the Unreal Engine. As for the question of when will this roll out?, we are not at liberty to discuss that. We are actually lucky to be allowed to give any heads up at all on it. Sorry guys. [hlds] Killing Floor Update Issue - Windows Dedicated Servers
We've found a serious issue in the Windows dedicated server build for the Killing Floor Halloween update released today. We're working feverishly to nail down the issue. But in the meantime I would advise and request that anyone running a Killing Floor Windows dedicated server please take the server offline until we get this issue sorted. Just because someone posts something dosen't mean it needs to be fixed by valve. We are all server operators here. Time we started treating others like it.
