About a week ago one of my 2 TF2 Quickplay enabled servers (totally
vanilla) suddenly stopped receiving traffic, while still showing up as
registered and everything.
Now I reset the identities of both my servers yesterday and of course
entered the new strings into the config, restarted the

Quickplay does not fill empty servers. You need regular players which help
to start the server populating.

That can't be true, I've had quickplay send players to the server when
it was totally empty.

Also consider that there just aren't that many people playing TF2, and
so the distribution of players is a lot smaller. There have been how
many major releases in the past couple weeks?

Just to expand on this, the STV isn't actually passworded. However, in the
same way that it picks up the details of the real server (players, slot
count etc.), it shows up as passworded, and so if you try to connect via the
UI, before the connect attempt it pops up a password prompt. Whatever

Agreed but the amount queries when that box pops up for people makes it a
problem not needed for Administrators.
