I first saw this same behaviour 1 week ago today. Within about 15 seconds every player on the server dropped with the same lost connection to VAC message. I contacted one of the regulars via chat and he said he thought his internet had quit, since it acted the same way. He was left hangning in

I see the No Steam logon message more often than this one. Certain players seem to randomly get kicked off with this message. Why does this even happen now that TF2 is free to play? Suppose if server has any control over this then a plugin could probably fix this, but would also act as a crack

To investigate these problems, we would need as much of the following as possible: Required: * Server IP * Exact time of the event (and please specify your time zone) * Snippet of server log near the event (1000 lines or so) Highly helpful: * Identity of the dropped players. (Steam IDs and/or

Could my observation the other day about freezing servers after map change, missing the steam user validated messages perhaps have anything to do with this case of VAC losing connection to clients? Saint K. From: hlds_linux-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com

I'm having a curious issue. From what I can gather this doesn't seem to be happening to any other servers my clients play on. After they have been on my CS:S servers (either server, I run 2) for a little while quite a few of my clients will drop with an error message stating that they lost

This happened to me for different reasons, the weirdest one. DirectX set to 8.1 would cause a No-Steam Logon, some like NAT Routers getting a bunch of ports blocked, and not getting the steam certification, or a combination of some which still occur to me like running a fullscreen game application

I've seen this on tf2 too, half the server would get empty. It has been a while since last time though, it is hard to troubleshoot because you need to be on the server to know it happened. No other form besides users will give you the feedback. I'll keep an eye on it and report back if I see it
