Hello,
I heard this piece (Fantasy for Horn and Piano on Wagner Themes) on a local
station this morning and have been unable to locate the recording. Anyone out
there know how to find it?

Hello, horndogs--
Where might I find symphonic and other scores at reasonable prices? I know
some are occasionally available through the Dover folks.

Hello--I own a 1978 H-180 which is okay, but plays sharp (it's tuned to 442, I
understand). What are some improvements (not too $$$) that can be done to the
horn? A typical one is a new lead pipe (Lawson?). Others?Jonathan

Hello --Does anyone out there know if the famous I Will Go On (or whatever
it's called) from Titanic is available for solo horn and piano? A wonderful
rendition appears on the recent London Horn Sound CD, but as I can play only
one horn at a time and not 16, I seek a slightly smaller
Hello, all --
As a recovering member of (TA) Trombonists Anonymous, I still marvel at the
multiple challenges facing horn players. Moving from the trombone to horn was
like learning a foreign language under fire.
Like others so afflicted, I had to learn to play left-handed and backwards,

Hello to all and Happy New Year!
I was recently most fortunate in purchasing a used Lewis. It plays as for
years I had dreamed and hoped for. Anyone out there know the specs for
these horns? Just curious.
Oh--my Schilke 31B fits the pipe very differently on this horn -- it's about a

Hello, hornlisters, and may God Bless Us Every One --
What constitutes a really big horn? Brand? (Hoyer, Kruspe, 8D, etc.)
Uh, Cabbage might want to sit aside awhile here, but I doubt that will

Hello,
This may hit some of the same folks I tried earlier, but I seek mouthpiece
advice. Currently using a Schilke 30 mostly, and a 31B when middle and low
range stuff dominates. I like the free-blowing nature of the 31B, but not its
high range; like the high range of the 30, but not its

Hello,
I need advice on finding, if possible a used Yamaha 667VSL with detachable
bell (I think it is) or the H-292 Holton Merkermatic, also with screwbell.
Have checked with the usual suspects (Horn Works, Osmun, etc.) with some
success, but seek other sources as well -- preferably not
Hello, fellow hornerists,
Looking for brass sextet music (2 trbns, 2 trpts, horn, tuba) suitable for
church Sundays. Any ideas would be most gratefully received!

Hello, all --
A question, also posted on the yahoo list:
What are some recommended Geyer-wrap horns? Should I rule out Holton's 192?
