Ed,
Doesn't a 6250 reel tape only hold about 30MB of data, so you were sorting
about 750MB? Working on SORTWKnn must total twice your input file you are
talking three SORTWKnn of about 500MB.
I can't imagine why it would be such a hard thing to figure out...
Ron
Thanks for mentioning that.
Hi Lister's,

access.I know Giving access to OPER profile in TSOAUTH class will do,but

Can anyone tell me how to restore a multi-volume z/OS HFS using DSS and end up
with the restored HFS in 300 cylinder extents? DSS is so 'smart' that it
always deletes my pre-allocated HFS and tries to make 9000 cyl extents. Guess
what, I want to put the HFS on some MOD-3's instead of MOD-9's.

I saw it somewhere listed (I don't think it was Amazon) for the absolutely
ridiculous price of over $1400. Yes, that's 4 digits to the left of the
decimal point.

Could you show us both your DUMP and RESTORE control statements? We
routinely dump/restore multivolume HFS where the restored HFS is just
(barely) big enough to contain the data.
